Emma Faull began her working life with the British School of Archaeology in Athens as an archaeological draughtsman, a discipline that continues to fascinate her and she will be drawing neolithic sites in Jersey in the summer of 2024. This show marks twenty five years of exhibiting with the gallery and includes a series of different techniques, including metalpoint and the use of Australian inks to achieve vibrant, colourful washes. Some of the inks include crushed mica which gives a soft, reflective quality to the paintings.
Emma has exhibited worldwide and her paintings are held in many important collections, including the Audubon Society in America and The National Museum of Athens. Queen Elizabeth II and The Duke of Edinburgh were keen collectors of her work.
Her book Birds: The Watercolour Art Pad was published in 2019.
